calls regularly but never identifies

I had a missed call from this number, but when I tried to call it back the operator said that the call could not be completed as dialed and for me to check the number. I dont know who it is, or what they want, but after "browsing" on the computer it seems quite a few people have received phone calls from this number as well. Im thinking something fishy is going on here with this number...a scam, or something! I dont know...all I DO know is that I dont like them calling me! Im going to contact at&t and see if they can see who or where this call is from...

Low-life bill collectors who buy up junk accounts (past the statute of limitations) and harrass people for payment.

Left message saying that I would be reported to the Credit Bureau - "may god save my life" - didn't say where they were calling from (that's illegal) or on whose behalf they were calling for (that's illegal).

Just pick up the call and tell them to "please hold" and put the phone on mute and leave it there until they disconnect. Waste their time. Their time is money and if you tie them up on a call with no results, it counts against the telemarketer's individual rating. Hopefully this can lead to them not trying it anymore. Blocking numbers won't work, because they are using a caller-ID spoofer that can send any data they want. Don't get angry. Just get even!

This person has been calling me for several days. I do not answer it because I don't know who this is. They do not leave a message so I do not call them back. This person even calls me at 2:00 a.m.. This is very annoying.

Don't hang up on them!! They will still call you again and again anyway, press option #1 like you wish to speak to them and just leave the phone off the hook. When they pick up, you're not there and now you waste their time. Or better yet, give the phone to your 4 year old to talk to them or perhaps your dog.

After calling about 4 or five times today and about the same yesterday they called my manager at work. The caller stated his name as Officer John Watson and I have a legal case with Cash Advance. Told my manager to have him call me. My manager stated it is a scam. Yesterday stated Officer Ben White. They have all my personal information, how did they get this? Both men had a heavy indian accent. Who can I call to get them off my back. I have no idea who they are!

Caller refuses to leave a message. I refuse to pick up the phone if there is nobody there.
